“In omnibus requiem quaesivi, sed non inveni, nisi in hoexkens ende boexkens,”
By the time I reached the age of 12, I stopped being interested in fiction for the most part. I did read the required reading for school, but found myself as a kid doing a deep dive into history, biology, and social studies. It took me a long time to realize why I lost interest in books of fiction. Looking back, I realize the fantastical practice of tabletop RPG’s filled the niche better for me as it was a cooperative imaginative adventure among friends.
